About The Green Youth Network

The Green Youth Network (GYN) is a Non-Profit Company (NPC) responsible for the advancement of youth interest and sustainable skills development in the green economy as well as promoting comprehensive education on issues relating to environmental conservation in South Africa. The network has a national footprint across South Africa with over 3 000 action-oriented youth concerned about environmental issues and determined to make positive change.

The GYN works to develop strategies on, facilitate dialogue over, lobby and increase capacity for the effective integration of youth in the national sustainability agenda. By engaging with stakeholders from government to industry, the network aims to provide a holistic, balanced and calibrated effort to inspire environmentally responsible, young South Africans.

GYN advocates and lobby on behalf of the South Africans youth for Government, Corporate and international bodies to implement policies which are geared towards providing a conducive environment for young South Africans whether high school learners, university students or entrepreneurs to find it easier to access opportunities and skills presented by the Green Economy.

GYN will also promote Innovation, entrepreneurship, skills development and assist its members to gain access to finance, workshops, training, relevant conferences and mentorship programmes within the Green Economy. The GYN is a proudly blackowned South African Non-Profit Company (NPC) and a Level 1 BB-BEE contributor
