The Green Youth Network is a not-for-profit organization responsible for the advancement of youth interest and sustainable skills development in the green economy as well as promoting comprehensive education on issues relating to environmental conservation in South Africa. The Green Youth Network is a national network of over 3 000 action-oriented youth in South Africa concerned about environmental issues and determined to make positive change.
The Green Youth Network works to develop strategies on, facilitate dialogue over, lobby and increase capacity for the effective integration of youth in the national sustainability agenda. By engaging with stakeholders from government to industry, the Network aims to provide a holistic, balanced and calibrated effort to inspire environmentally responsible, young South Africans.
The Network advocates and lobby on behalf of young South Africans for Government, Corporate and international bodies to implement policies which are geared towards providing an environment which is conducive for young South Africans whether high school learners, University students or Entrepreneurs to find it easier to access opportunities and skills presented by the Green Economy.
Green Youth Network will also promote Innovation, entrepreneurship, skills development and assist its members to gain access to finance, workshops, training, relevant conferences and mentorship programmes within the Green Economy. The Green Youth Network is a proudly black-owned South African Non-Profit Company (NPC) and a Level 1 BB-BEE contributor.
